May 2026 Product Release Notes

Matt Valkovic
June 4, 2026

Summary

May 2026 expanded Atomic's reach across the payment lifecycle - from how capital calls are ingested and matched, to how payments are submitted and tracked. The headline releases include Schwab ACH Direct Submission, Payment Request Linking, Cash Check Notifications, and an optional Process Date that streamlines capital call workflows. Behind the scenes, email body parsing v2 and account name matching improvements mean more capital calls land fully matched on arrival, and an early Salesforce integration preview gives client-facing teams real-time visibility into payment status from their existing dashboards. Rounding it out: filter and table polish and targeted bug fixes across the platform.

Payment Request Workflow

Payment Request Linking

You can now link related payment requests together to track dependencies between them. A new Dependencies section on the payment request detail page lets you search for and connect related requests, marking which requests depend on each other. A link indicator icon appears on payment request IDs in the table so you can quickly spot connected workflows. If a payment request is blocked by an in-flight dependency, a banner surfaces this at the top of the detail page, and the system warns you before replacing an existing link.

Payment Request Linking

Automatic Table Refresh

The Active and Draft payment request tables now silently update in the background every two minutes. When new payment requests are created by others, a floating notification pill appears at the top of the table letting you know there are new items - click it to refresh and see the latest data. The notification is smart enough to not prompt you for your own actions, eliminating the need to manually reload the page.

Optional Process Date

The Process Date field on payment requests is now optional. Previously, a process date was required before a draft could be promoted to active — which added an extra manual step for PRs created via integrations. This is especially helpful for capital call workflows where the process date often isn't known up front. Drafts will now automatically promote to active without a process date, and if none is set at submission time, the submission date is used. A new "is blank" filter option lets you quickly find PRs without a process date assigned.

Optional Data Processing

Cash Check Notifications

The platform can now proactively alert you when a payment request may not have sufficient funds to process. The system checks cash availability based on a configurable lookahead window and sends notifications if a potential shortfall is detected. Individual users can manage their notification preferences in Settings, and organization administrators can enable cash check alerts from the Settings page.

Integrations

Schwab SLOA ACH Direct Submission

SLOA ACH payments to Schwab-custodied accounts can now be submitted directly from Atomic via API - no more re-entering data into Schwab Advisor Center. Atomic handles validation (cash, SLOA, duplicates), submission, and status tracking in one workflow, matching the experience already available for Fidelity. Note that Schwab requires ACH processing dates to be at least one business day in the future (T+1). This is the first Schwab payment type to support direct API submission, with Wires, Journals, and Checks planned to follow.

Salesforce Integration

Early support for bidirectional Salesforce integration is now available for select customers. Atomic can sync payment request submission details — including payment completion status and Federal Reference numbers - directly into your Salesforce environment, giving client-facing teams real-time visibility without leaving their existing dashboards. We plan to continue expanding this integration with deeper data flows and broader CRM coverage in the coming months.

Capital Call & Document Processing

Email Body Parsing

When a capital call or payment instruction arrives via email, Atomic now captures both the email body and the attachment for processing. Previously, only the PDF attachment was parsed - meaning important context in the email itself (such as updated amounts, special instructions, or corrected details) could be missed. The system now converts the email body into a PDF and includes it alongside the original attachment, giving the parsing engine the full picture.

Account Name Matching Improvements

The automatic matching that links incoming capital calls to the correct account in Atomic has been tuned for greater accuracy. The matching algorithm now prioritizes SLOA-based lookups - starting with the beneficiary account number extracted from the capital call notice and cross-referencing it against standing instructions - before falling back to entity name matching. This significantly reduces the number of capital calls that land in Drafts without a matched "From" account, especially for firms with complex multi-entity structures.

FedRef Discovery Email Notifications

You will now receive an email notification when the system discovers a Federal Reference (FedRef) number for a payment request you are assigned to. This helps you stay informed about the status of custodian submissions without needing to manually check each request.

UX & Polish

Filter Menu Improvements

Several improvements to the payment request filter menu throughout the month: sub-menus no longer accidentally dismiss when moving the cursor between menu items, and navigation between filter options now feels smooth and predictable.

Clickable Payment Request IDs

Payment request IDs in the main table are now clickable links in both active and archive tabs, letting you navigate directly to the detail page with a single click.

Year Display on Dates

Dates in the payment request table now include the year for prior-year entries (MM/DD/YY), while current-year dates continue to display without the year. This applies to Due Date, Process Date, and Created Date columns across active, draft, and archive tabs.

Bug Fixes & Stability

May included targeted bug fixes across the platform, including: correct results when filtering payment requests by "Created" date using "Today" or "Yesterday" options, reliable attachment uploads for documents with special characters in file names (such as #, parentheses, or ampersands), and dependency section layout improvements that eliminate extra white space when linking related payment requests.
