January 2026 Product Release Notes

Matt Valkovic
January 29, 2026

January 2026 brought significant improvements to workflow efficiency, Flagship custodian integration enhancements, security hardening from our annual pen test, and major infrastructure optimizations.

Workflow & Payment Processing

Default Accounts on Treasury Page

Users can now set default payment accounts directly from the Treasury page, in addition to the existing Settings > Client Hierarchy method. A "Default" badge now appears on designated accounts in the Treasury table, making it easier to identify preferred funding sources at a glance.

Assign To Me Button

Quickly assign a payment request to yourself with one click—no more navigating through the Assignee dropdown to find your own name.

Cash Planner Timestamp Fix

The "Last Updated" timestamp in Cash Planner now accurately reflects when account balances were last synced, rather than showing stale end-of-day timestamps from flat file ingests.

Vendor Address on PDF LOIs

Resolved inconsistent display of vendor/beneficiary addresses in the "For the benefit of" section of PDF Letters of Instruction. Addresses now reliably populate when available, reducing the need for manual workarounds via Special Instructions.

Improved "New" Vendor Flagging

Vendors created within the past 7 days now display a "New" badge in the vendor list, helping users identify recently added payees.

Smarter From/To Account Selection

Improved relevancy-weighted search when selecting From and To accounts in payment requests, making it faster to find the right accounts.

SLOA-Aware Capital Call Account Selection

When processing capital calls, the system now considers standing letter of authorization (SLOA) status when suggesting the From account, reducing validation friction.

Flagship Custodian Integration

Custodian Data Sync Improvements

Upgraded the backend systems that sync the custodian's client, entity, account, and position data for improved performance and reliability.

Retirement Account Distributions

Custodian transactions from retirement accounts (IRAs) now work via API. When sending distributions from retirement accounts, users can specify the distribution reason and federal/state tax withholding amounts—fields required by the custodian for IRA withdrawals.

Trust Under Agreement (TRUA) Support

Payments from Trust Under Agreement accounts at the custodian are now supported via API, resolving issues where these transactions previously failed due to missing required fields.

Custodian Journal SLOA Pipeline Fix

Fixed an issue where journal SLOAs were not correctly matching sending and receiving accounts due to ambiguous direction data from the custodian's API.

LOI Code Support

Added support for LOI (Letter of Instruction) indicator codes on transactions, improving compliance documentation.

Operational Updates

Security Enhancements

We completed remediation of all findings from our annual penetration test, including improved session security and tighter access controls on user comments and profiles.

Infrastructure & Performance Improvements

We made significant backend improvements this month to increase system reliability and performance, including a 70% reduction in database storage and enhanced monitoring across all services.
